How this works

WeatherRisk lists 30 real cities — mostly across the United States, plus a few global metros — and scores each one across six hazards on a 0–100 scale.

Each city shows a score badge (the mean of its six hazard scores, on a 0–100 scale) and six mini bars. A value under 30 reads as low, 30–60 as moderate, and above 60 as high. The city name and region are public facts; the numbers themselves are illustrative demonstration data designed to show relative risk — Miami reads high on hurricane, Phoenix high on heatwave, Buffalo high on blizzard — not a forecast.

Every city has its own detail page with all six hazard cards, the overall score, an illustrative event history, a short general preparedness checklist, and links to nearby or similar cities. You can also browse the risk ranking to see the top 10 cities for each hazard, or use the compare tool to put two cities side by side.
